I recommend the DeArmond M77-T (in orange, preferably). Fack Epi's (except US-made ones from the '40s-'60s)

Hmmm -- I hope this is Joe or Hubbell; they are the guitar boys pictured.

And where exactly are they selling the DeArmond M77-T for $99 these days?

Oh; they're not selling them?

They have to be at least marginally competitive with the $99 bolt-on Les Paul Jr. by AyPeeFone

Who can tell who's in the picture, given your photographic 'style'?

At $99, go for the black one.

Neither. And you know I'm a big Epiphone guy.

On Labor Day I took my 12-year old neice to Guitar Center to get her an electric guitar. Those Epi's were attractive at $99 but they played like shit. The $99 Squier Strat (marked down that day to $59) had it all over the Epi's.

Got a nice little Marshall practice amp for $59, too. A Good Day All Around!

A nice day at Guitar Center? Did hell freeze over when I wasn't looking?
