Thums Up to The Science of Sleep

I'd been led to believe that this film, in English, Spanish, and French, was enjoyable, but slight. That the central impact would come from the joy of lo-tech special effects, central to the story.

I found it much better, and deeper, than that.

It's also about attraction, unrequited longing, the pain of loss and the emptiness of adulthood.

And technology. And imagination.

And love.

Maybe it's also about the pitfalls of honesty, and the pain and joy of risking something to find love.

There's a French dude who is a scream. . .

I dug it -- Thums Up!
