Peter O'Toole gives an amazing performance in Venus. An amazing film acting performance.

If the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences gives him an award for best actor, it will be well-deserved.

I have actually woken up in a cold sweat (more than once), fearing that the first thing I will hear on NPR one morning will be,
"Peter O'Toole has died...".

Not only is he one of the greats, may be the last of his particular kind. And that makes me very sad indeed.

A wise soul in a profession where very few can rise above the fray, last so long, and still make you want to watch them, listen to them, and remember why films and theatre are so important.

I believe NATAS is giving him a Lifetime Achievement Award, which at first he did not want, but was persuaded to accept with the gratitude with which it is intended.
